Should I get the COVID-19 vaccine if I’m pregnant or have a weakened immune system?

Last Updated: 01/13/2021

Individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a weakened immune system are eligible for vaccination, but the CDC recommends talking to your healthcare provider before getting vaccinated.

There is limited data about the safety of COVID-19 vaccines for people who are pregnant and no data on the safety of COVID-19 vaccines on women or infants who are breastfeeding.

For more information, refer to the CDC's vaccination considerations for people who are pregnant or breastfeeding or vaccination considerations for persons with underlying medical conditions.
