How do I comply with mandated health care capacity and inventory reporting required by Executive Orders 109 and 111?
On March 28, Governor Murphy signed Executive Order No. 111, directing designated health care facilities to report on a daily basis to the Department of Health and the Office of Emergency Management, data concerning their capacity and supplies, including bed capacity, ventilators, and PPE. Impacted health care facilities can report this information at the online portal, report.covid19.nj.gov.
Designated health care facilities include, but are not limited to::
- Licensed acute care hospitals;
- Long-term care facilites;
- Hospital systems, including specialty hospitals; and
- All emergency modular field treatment and other facilities established during this state of emergency.
This reporting will be required by 10 a.m. on a daily basis starting Sunday, March 29. For additional details, visit: https://report.covid19.nj.gov/
Previously, Governor Phil Murphy also signed Executive Order No. 109, which required any business, non-hospital health care facility, or institution of higher learning in possession of personal protective equipment (PPE), ventilators, respirators, or anesthesia machines not required for the provision of critical health care services to undertake an inventory of these supplies and send that information to the State by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 27.
This information should be submitted via covid19.nj.gov/ppereport. The deadline for completing this submission was 5:00 pm on Friday, March 27.
While Executive Order No. 109 contains additional details, the following language should be noted: Any business or non-hospital health care facility, including but not limited to dental facilities, construction facilities, research facilities, office-based healthcare or veterinary practices, and institutions of higher learning, in possession of PPE, ventilators, respirators, or anesthesia machines that are not required for the provision of critical health care services should undertake an inventory of such supplies and send that information to the State by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2020.
