How can I volunteer as a health care professional?
Qualified health, mental health, and related professionals who wish to increase the state's healthcare capacity by treating seriously ill coronavirus patients may fill out the Healthcare Professional Call to Serve online form.
The Governor's Office is working directly with business partners regarding possible transportation and lodging arrangements for volunteers coming from outside the area and will continue to share information. On April 20, the Governor's Office and the Department of Health announced work with United Airlines and Delta Airlines to offer free round-trip flights to health care workers coming to New Jersey to help with the state's efforts to fight the virus. The airlines will fly vetted and approved volunteers to Newark Airport from any airport in the country.
In addition, to further expand New Jersey's health care capacity, the State is temporarily reactivating the licenses of recently retired health care professionals and granting temporary licenses to doctors licensed in foreign countries if they wish to help during this public health emergency.
