Should people who traveled to a region with high reported rates of COVID-19 miss work or school?

Those who are returning from regions with high levels of the virus are advised, to the extent possible, to remain at home or in a comparable setting. We also recommend that they avoid areas where people may congregate, limit public activities, and practice social distancing. They should follow these recommendations for a total of 14 days from when they left that region.
