Can I still use AirBnB or other short-term rental sites? Can I travel to my summer home?
Governor Murphy has issued Executive Order No. 107, directing all residents to stay at home until further notice. The order provides for certain exceptions, such as obtaining essential goods or services, seeking medical attention, visiting family or close friends, reporting to work, or engaging in outdoor activities.
While there may be exceptions, residents are directed to stay at home until further notice to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and save lives.
If you must travel, please check with your destination's municipal or county government to see if they have restricted short-term rentals. The State has issued an Executive Order authorizing local governments to impose restrictions on the ability of hotels, motels, guest houses, or private residences to accept new guests.
Note: Governor Murphy has asked New Jerseyans to stay at their primary residences and not travel to their summer homes at this time to avoid straining local health care infrastructure.
